- Senior composer and lyricist Yashwant Dev passed away in Mumbai early this morning. He was 92. He was admitted to hospital and undergoing treatment for chikungunya. His last rites will be performed at Dadar in Mumbai this evening.
- He had composed and written many popular Marathi songs. He was honored with many awards including Gan-samradni Lata Mangeshkar Award and Gadima puraskar. He had also served in the Music section of All India Radio, Mumbai.
