Indian-American Author; Sujatha Gidla wins Shakti Bhatt Book Prize 2018

Indian-American Author Sujatha Gidla (55-years-old) wins Shakti Bhatt Prize 2018 for her novel "Ants Among Elephants: An Untouchable Family and the Making of Modern India".
Sujatha Gidla receives a cash prize of Rs Two lakhs.
She was born in Andhra Pradesh (1963), India and moved to the USA in 1990 at the age of 26 years old.
The Shakti Bhatt First Book Prize is funded by the Shakti Bhatt Foundation, established in 2008 in memory of young writer and editor Shakti Bhatti.
