87th Birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam being observed on 15th October

1. Nation remembers former President late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on his 87th Birth Anniversary today.

• He redefined the Presidency during his tenure from 2002 to 2007. He often spoke to children and the youth - inspiring them to think big in life. He penned a number of books.
• His connect with the masses earned him the title of People's President. He inspired people across the globe to believe in their dreams.
• He once famously said, "You have to dream before your dreams can come true." He was also called the 'Missile Man' of India for his contributions in the field of defense technology.

2. President Ram Nath Kovind today paid floral tributes to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India, on his birth anniversary at Rashtrapati Bhavan today.

3. Prime minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the Former President late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on his birth anniversary today. The Prime Minister in his tweet said; "An exceptional teacher, a wonderful motivator, an outstanding scientist and a great President, Dr. Kalam lives in the hearts and minds of every Indian. Remembering him on his Jayanti." He also shared a video on Dr. Kalam.
