- Indian gymnasts won two bronze medals in the men's and women's group events of the FIG Acrobatic World Cup in Baku.
Prins Aris and Rejilesh Suribabu finished third after scoring 20.560 in the two-day event to bag the bronze medal at the National Gymnastics Arena.
The Indian women's trio of Ayushi Ghodeswar, Prachi Parkhi, and Mrunmayi Walde also bagged a bronze in the group after scoring 18.200.
- India's batting star Harmanpreet Kaur was on Sunday named the captain of the ICC Women's World Twenty20 XI, which also featured opener Smriti Mandhana and leg-spinner Poonam Yadav. India skipper Harmanpreet was one of two captains to make the squad along with Pakistan's Javeria Khan with a player of the tournament Alyssa Healy of Australia and England's Amy Jones nominated to bat ahead of her.
- India’s C.A. Bhavani Devi made history today by becoming the first Indian to win the gold medal in the senior Commonwealth fencing championship held in Canberra. Bhavani participated in the saber event. The Chennai-born fencer beat England’s Emily Ruaux 15-12 after a semifinal win over Scotland’s Catriona Thomson.
- Sameer Verma gave India a perfect end to the Syed Modi International Badminton Championships, winning men's singles final 16-21, 21-19, 21-14 against China's Guangzu Lu, to retain the title. He came from a game down to win the match in 70 minutes.
