- In Badminton, Olympic silver medallist P V Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth have been ousted from the China Open Super 750 today after losing their singles quarterfinal matches in Fuzhou.
- Third-seeded Sindhu, who clinched three silver medals this season, lost to China's He Bingjiao 17-21, 21-17, 15-21. Srikanth lost to world number 3 Chou Tien Chen, 14-21, 14-21.
