Siddharth Kaul, Rashid Khan, and Sandeep Sharma put Chennai in trouble after taking 2-2 wickets at Sunrisers Hyderabad. It was started by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who had already taken wickets in the first over. However, the unbeaten partnership of 27 runs between D. Plessis and Shardul Thakur for 9th wicket was heavy on Hyderabad.
Now there is a chance left for Hyderabad. It will now have to play in the Qualifier-2 on May 25, where Hyderabad will be competing against the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Rajasthan Royals.
