After the shortage of cash taken in the last days, the government had reduced printing of 2000 notes, but now it has stopped it completely now. Now the central government has focused on increasing the supply of 500 rupees notes in the country's economy. For this, the government has stopped the printing of rupees 2000 now. Economic Affairs Secretary Subhash Chandra Garg gave this information.
Garg also informed that in the current circulation of Rs 2000 rupees, their total value is Rs 7 lakh crore. They said that they are more than required. Due to this, new notes of 2000 rupees are not being printed.
