In India, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS India) has decided to provide health insurance coverage for its employees' Gay partners also. This can be called a bold decision because, in India, gay couples or homosexuality still do not get legal status. Well, there is a possibility of this step to be caught in the legal footing.
Same-sex partner means that if a Gay or Lesbian person is, then he can also add his partner to the benefit of his health insurance. So far, the health insurance scheme provided to the employees in the Indian corporate world, their spouse, children, parents or mother-in-law is included.
