India and Seychelles are running seventh joint military exercise 'Lamitye'. In Hindi language, Lamitye means friendship. This practice is happening on the Mahe Island. India and Seychelles are organizing this joint exercise since 2001, which is aimed at enhancing military cooperation and inter-capability between the armies of the two countries. During the warfare, the practice of research, reconstruction of the hostages, the practice of anti-piracy, the events of militancy, and other problems were worked together.
