Justice Chelameswar Retires from Supreme Court Today


In the revolt against Chief Justice of India Deepak Mishra, the Supreme Judge of the Supreme Court comprising four judges of the press conference, Justice J. Chelameswar will retire today. Chelameswar worked for almost seven years in the Supreme Court. After the retirement of Chelameswar, a major change will be seen in the Supreme Court's Collegium.

As soon as retired, Justice Chelameswar will be out of the Collegium and will be replaced by Justice AK Sikri. Let me tell you, the bench headed by Justice Sikri had recently ordered the floor test in 24 hours between the political upheaval in the state after the Karnataka assembly elections.

The Collegium includes Chief Justice Deepak Mishra, Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Justice MB Lokur and Justice Kurian Joseph. It is said that Justice AK Sikri is the trust of the Chief Justice Deepak Mishra so that he can be strengthened in the collegium.
