The CM of Maharashtra Meets World Bank CEO Kristalina Georgieva


The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, met with the head of the World Bank Georgieva in Washington DC to seek assistance for a Multimodal Transport Corridor and the Rural Livelihood Project. The aims of the projects are to provide sustainable livelihood enhancements in 10,000 villages in the state.

The World Bank has assured positive feedback on the project. Fadnavis is on the tour in three countries and also participated in a business discussion organized by the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum. Mr. Fadnavis was bestowed with the Outstanding Leadership in Development Award by Georgetown India Initiative and Centre for Strategic and International Studies.
