Indian-American Women Dhivya Became CFO Of General Motors in US


An Indian-American woman, Dhivya Suryadevara has been named the Chief Finance Officer of the US’ which is the largest automaker of General Motors in the US. The company said in a statement that Ms. Suryadevara, currently the vice president of corporate finance, will succeed Chuck Stevens, the General Motor’s present CFO, on September 1st.

Ms. Suryadevara is only 39 years old lady who born in Chennai has been General Motors vice president of corporate finance since July 2017. She will report to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mary Barra that is 56 years old lady.

Ms. Barra and Ms. Suryadevara are the first women in their respective positions in the auto industry since no other major global automaker has a female CEO, and CFO, who are both women.
