NCL's Coal Production Up 17%


The Mini Ratna Company, Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) has produced 16.41 million tonnes of coal in the first two months of this year, or by the end of May. During this period, the company's dispatches have been 16.57 million tonnes, which is 16.82% and 15.17% more than the corresponding period of the previous year.

In the last financial year, the company produced 14.05 million tonnes of coal and 14.39 million tons of coal was dispatched. Coal India Limited's subsidiary company NCL has been given the responsibility of 100 million tonnes of coal production and 100.5 million tonnes of coal dispatches in the current financial year.

In the last financial year ending in March, NCL had produced 93.01 million tonnes of coal productions and 96.73 million tonnes of coal dispatched, which is the highest coal production and transmission of the company in any financial year so far.
