Flying Officer Avni Chaturvedi became the first Indian woman to fly a fighter plane. She flew the MiG-21 Bison alone. This was her first flight of this kind. According to an officer of the Air Force, she flew the plane from Jamnagar Air Force Station on 19th Feb 2018.The MiG-21 was one of the main directions of the Indian Air Force for decades, and in the next two years, it will be completely discontinued. Full name of the MiG-21 - MiG-21 Mikoyan-Gurevich. Three women pilots Avni Chaturvedi, Bhavna Kant and Mohna Singh have been given strict training to fly the fighter plane.
