Aadhaar card provides a layer of security. The Supreme Court has rejected a request which sought an extension of the deadline for linking it to other services. The judge of the Supreme Court, headed by the chief judge of India, Deepak Misra, rejected the petition of the senior lawyer Shyam Divan, who was at the forefront of this battle.
