1. The Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu has condoled the passing away of the former Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee (93-year-old). In a message, he said that he visited him today morning but didn't imagine that the end will come so soon. He is, undoubtedly, one of the tallest leaders in post-independence India, he added.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has spoken to Chief Minister of Kerala Shri Pinarayi Vijayan regarding flood situation in the state. “Spoke to Kerala CM Shri Pinarayi Vijayan again this morning. We discussed the flood situation in the state. Have asked the Defence Ministry to further step up the rescue and relief operations across the state. Praying for the safety and well-being of the people of Kerala”, the Prime Minister said.
