India could once again boycott SAARC summit in Pakistan. Earlier India had done so in September 2016 and then had to cancel SAARC conference. If this happens, the SAARC conference will not be held for the third consecutive year.
It is significant that the 20th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Conference is being organized in Pakistan. According to sources, Pakistan still has not done enough steps to curb terrorism that flourishes on its land. One source said, "As long as terrorism from Pakistan continues, the atmosphere will not be suitable for India to attend the SAARC Summit."
