In America, the reputed cancer of Indian origin and the gene therapy scientist has been sent to him on administrative leave after allegations of "unfair treatment" against him. In California, the prestigious Salk Institute for Biological Studies, cancer and gene therapy scientist Inder Verma have been sent on administrative leave until the results of the investigation of charges against them.
The institute told no reason about suspending 70-year-old Verma. He is considered among the world's leading scientists on gene therapy and cancer. The institute chairman Dan Lewis said, "Verma has been sent on administrative leave until the result of the investigation. During this period, he will not play a scientific or administrative role on behalf of the Institute."
