India has asked Hong Kong to arrest the accused Nirav Modi, in the case of fraud of thousands of crores of rupees. A senior official said that Hong Kong officials are waiting for an answer.
Jewellery trader Nirav Modi has already fled the country. Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravi Kumar said in the media, "We have urged officials in Hong Kong to hand over Nirav Modi to India."
