Axis Bank's board of directors has reduced the new tenure of Managing Director and CEO Shikha Sharma from three years to just seven months. Shikha herself had done the 'shocking insistence' of the cut in his tenure from the board of the bank. Although it is not clear what was the purpose of such request on behalf of the crest. This decision of the private sector bank's board of directors came at a time when the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) questioned the re-appointment of Shikha Sharma for the fourth term on the post of the CEO and Managing Director of the bank.
