Myanmar, after refusing for several months, has now agreed to visit the United Nations Security Council but it is unclear whether ambassadors will be allowed to move to the Province or not. Since the military action of Myanmar in August last year, about 7,00,000 Rohingyas left the province and they are living in extremely inhumane conditions in Bangladesh's refugee camps.
The United Nations said today that the council had proposed to travel in February, which the Myanmar government gave a green signal. Peru's ambassador and current president of the United Nations, Gustavo Maja Quadra said that the schedule of travel is not yet decided. It also includes whether the government will allow the council to go to the province or not.
