The electronic bill (e-way bill) system introduced under Goods and Services Tax (GST) has been implemented throughout the country on Sunday. At present, the e-way bill system has been implemented for transporting goods worth more than fifty thousand rupees from the road, rail, air or waterways to one state to other.
Finance Secretary Hasmukh Adhia said that within the next two weeks. It would be implemented in the states for transportation of goods even within the states. Chief Executive of GST Network (GSTN) Prakash Kumar said that about 11 lakh businesses and transporters have registered on the e-bill bill platform.
