Special Species of Tortoises Seen on Versova Beach After 20 Years


Today, Versova beach of Mumbai saw broken species of the turtle of a particular species. Locals and forest department officials after seeing the eggs confirmed that these broken eggs are of the turtle of 'Olive Ridley' species.

According to the Maharashtra Forest Department, after two decades, again the Versova Beach 'Olive Ridley' has become the preferred destination for turtles. Turtles of this species, which are found in hot and tropical currents of the Hind and Pacific Ocean. These species fall under the category of the smallest sea turtles.
