WB Police Recruitment 2019 - West Bengal Police has released Job Notification for dynamic, self-motivated and energetic young qualified candidates for the 125 Posts of Staff Officer-cum-Instructor in Civil Defence Organisation, West Bengal under the Department of Disaster Management & Civil Defence, Government of West Bengal.

Eligibility Criteria
A. The applicant must be a citizen of India.
B. Educational Qualification:- The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent.

Selection Procedure:- The posts of Staff Officer-cum-Instructor shall be filled up through an open competitive examination comprising of Four stages. A candidate is eligible to appear in the next stage only if he/ she passes through the previous one. The stages are:-

- The applicant must be able to speak, read and write the Bengali Language. However, this provision will not be applicable to persons who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts.
- For applicants from hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong District, the provisions laid down in the West Bengal Official Language Act, 1961 will be applicable.

- Preliminary Examination,
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET),
- Final Competitive Examination and
- Personality Test.
