Educational Qualification

a) Transfer Technology
  • Essential: M.Sc. in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ M.Sc. Microbiology/ M.Sc. Botany with a minimum of 55% marks.
  • Desirable: Working knowledge in computer and experience in a related field.
b) Plant Pathology
  • Essential: M.Sc. in Agriculture(Plant Pathology)/ M.Sc. Microbiology/ M.Sc. Botany with a minimum of 55% marks.
  • Desirable: Working knowledge in computer and experience in related field
c) Crop Improvement
  • Essential: M.Sc. Botany/ Biotechnology with minimum of 55% marks.
  • Desirable: Working knowledge in computer and experience in related field
d) Biotechnology
  • Essential: M.Sc. Biotechnology(Plant/ General)
  • Desirable: Working knowledge in Molecular Biology Laboratory Techniques & Basics in Bioinformatics as evidenced by documents.
e) Entomology
  • Essential: M.Sc. Agricultural Entomology/ Zoology with a minimum of 55% marks.
f) Agronomy & Soil Science
  • Essential: M.Sc. Chemistry with minimum 55% marks.
  • Desirable: One-year work experience in handling GC/ HPLC/ Soil Analytical works.

Screening based on qualification followed by a written test. The venue of the Walk-in Test

Instructions to the Candidates appearing for the screening test should bring along all the necessary documents given below:

1. Passport size photograph
2. Original certificates for
  1. Identity proof(Voter card, Aadhar card, etc.)
  2. Proof of Age
  3. Caste Certificate (SC)
  4. Proof of education and training
  5. Publications, if any.
3. One set of self-attested photocopies of the above.
hose who have not yet received their final degree certificate need not appear in the test. The number of vacancies indicated is provisional and may vary at the time of selection. The Board reserves the right to shortlist applications for the second level test if required. Those who have undergone training as SET/ SRT at Spices Board earlier need not apply.
