1. Army Recruitment Rally under the aegis of Headquarters Recruiting Zone, Chennai will be conducted by ARO Guntur from 05 October 2018 to 15 October 2018 at 2nd (AP) SP Ground, Kurnool to enroll eligible candidates into the Army from seven districts of Andhra Pradesh viz, Anantapur, Chittoor, Guntur, Kadapa, Kurnool, Nellore & Prakasam in
Candidates will have to apply online only, on the official website www.joinindianarmy.nic. in from 21 August 2018 to 19 September 2018. Admit card will be issued online after 23 September 2018. Candidates are requested to bring their admit card, application & documents mentioned in the admit card at the rally site.
Date and time of reporting at the rally site will be mentioned on the admit card. Print out of admitting card can be taken from 24 September 2018 from www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Candidates are advised to carry their Admit Card and documents in waterproof transparent document sleeves/ sheet protection to cater for guard against damage due to inclement weather.
2. Recruitment Programme:- Date and time of screening of documents, Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test will be mentioned on the Admit Card.
3. Medical Exam of Candidates:- Primary medical examination will be carried out with effect from 06 October 2018 onward at the Rally Site.
Notes:- (a) Candidates with 10+2 Vocational Subjects are not eligible for Soldier Technical, Soldier Nursing Assistant & Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical categories. They can apply for Soldier Tradesman / Soldier General Duty if meeting required a percentage of marks in class 10th.
(b) Candidates who have undertaken Andhra Pradesh Open School Society Examination for Class X will now be eligible for Soldier General Duty category.
(c) Candidates who are below 18 years of age will have to bring their parents consent certificate. The format of an affidavit on Non-Judicial Stamp is attached to this notification.
(d) Sportsmen who have represented India at International level and State at a National level within last two years and even if they have not obtained 1st/ 2nd position are eligible for relaxation in physical standards and bonus marks in Common Entrance Examination (if passed subsequently) as per laid down policies on the subject. For the list of sports under which, relaxation in physical standards is admissible, attention is invited to www.joinindianarmy.nic.in website.
(e) Sportsmen who have represented district at a state level and university team or regional team at district level within last two years and have earned 1st/2nd position will be eligible for relaxation in physical standards and bonus marks in Common Entrance Examination (if passed subsequently) as per laid down policies on the subject. Sports certificate should be with registration number and from Government Recognised Sports Institutes/ Bodies as under:-
All Sr / Jr National Championship Certificates - Respective National Federation.
All states & Dist level Certificate - Respective State Sports Association.
All university-level Certificate - Inter-University Sports Board.
All School level Certificates - All India School Games Federation.
4. Eligibility Conditions:-
1. Qualification: SSLC/ Matric with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% marks in each subject. No aggregate percentage required for higher qualification i.e. 10+2 and above.
2. Age Limit: 17½-21 Years
3. Physical Measurement: a) Height - 166 cm b) Weight - 50 Kgs c) Chest - 77 Cms with 5 Cms Expansion
1. Qualification: 10+2 / Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.
2. Age Limit: 17½-23 Years
3. Physical Measurement: a) Height - 165 cm b) Weight - 50 Kgs c) Chest - 77 Cms with 5 Cms Expansion
1. Qualification: 10+2 / Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject. OR Three years Engineering Diploma (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automobile/ Computer Science / Electronics & Instrumentation).
2. Age Limit: 17½-23 Years
3. Physical Measurement: a) Height - 165 cm b) Weight - 50 Kgs c) Chest - 77 Cms with 5 Cms
1. Qualification: 10+2 / Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology & English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject. OR In case the candidate has a B.Sc Degree with (Botany/ Zoology/ Bio-Science) and English, the stipulation of %age in Class 12th is waiver off. However, the candidate should be studied al the four specified subjects in Class 12th also.
2. Age Limit: 17½-23 Years
3. Physical Measurement: a) Height - 165 cm b) Weight - 50 Kgs c) Chest - 77 Cms with 5 Cms Expansion
1. Qualification: 10 + 2 / Intermediate Exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60 % marks in aggregate and minimum 50 % in each subject.
2. Age Limit: 17½-23 Years
3. Physical Measurement: a) Height - 162 cm b) Weight - 50 Kgs c) Chest - 77 Cms with 5 Cms
1. Qualification: - 8th Pass. For House Keeper, Mess Keeper and Syce - 10th Pass. For Chef, Washerman, Dresser, Steward, Tailor, Artisan (Wood Work), Artisan (Metallurgy), Support Staff (ER), Artisan (Construction) and all other trades 10th simple pass/ ITI qualification in respective trades. Only candidates who have undertaken class X Board Exam would be considered.
2. Age Limit: 17½-23 Years
3. Physical Measurement: a) Height - 166 cm b) Weight - 48 Kgs c) Chest - 76 Cms with 5 Cms Expansion
5. Other Conditions:- (a) The candidates should be medically fit to join the Indian Army at the time of Rally.
(b) For the candidates below the age of 21 years, Indian Army will enroll only unmarried candidates. In case any candidate below 21 yrs is married to the widow of the deceased brother and eligible for Instant Enrolment, a case for waiver will be considered by Recruiting Directorate.
(c) Tatoo/ Engraving. Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearm i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of the hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body is not acceptable and the candidate will be barred from further selection.
Selection Procedure
The undermentioned test are mandatory for all:- (a) Physical Fitness Test (PFT). (b) Physical Measurement Test (PMT). (c) Medical Examination. (d) Common Entrance Examination.
