IOCL has announced recruitment notification for the post of Graduate Engineer, eligible candidates can submit their application before 15-06-2020.
IOCL Recruitment 2020: IOCL Corporation Limited (IOCL) is looking for energetic and dedicated Graduate Engineers with a bright academic record to join Organization as Engineers/ Officers from the following Disciplines:-
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
Recruitment for the above-mentioned positions will be through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2020).
Eligibility Criteria For IOCL Graduate Engineer Recruitment 2020
- Who can Apply:- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply. Interested candidates having required educational qualification, valid GATE 2020 marks and meeting eligibility criteria as laid out in this advertisement are eligible to apply for the advertised positions.
- Marks in GATE 2020:- Candidates have to essentially qualify in the GATE-2020 examination in Chemical (GATE 2020 code: CH)/ Civil (GATE 2020 code: CE)/ Electrical (GATE 2020 code: EE)/ Mechanical (GATE 2020 code: ME) engineering disciplines in order to be eligible to apply for the advertised posts. GATE marks of previous years (2019 or before) shall not be accepted.
Educational Qualification For IOCL Graduate Engineer Recruitment 2020
a) The candidate should have completed Full-time Bachelor Degree in Engineering (B.Tech/ BE or its equivalent) in Chemical/ Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical from Institutions/ Colleges/ Universities/ Deemed Universities duly recognized by AICTE/ UGC.
b) Candidates currently in the final year of their engineering studies may also apply. However, if selected, they should be in a position to submit their final mark sheet by 31st August 2020.
c) Candidates who have completed/ are pursuing Bachelor Degree in Engineering in any one of the following engineering disciplines are eligible to apply for the advertised positions:-
- Chemical Engineering (including Petrochemicals/ Polymer/ Plastic Engineering but excluding Rubber/ Oil/ Paint Technology/ Surfactant Technology/ Ceramics Engineering etc).
- Civil Engineering (excluding Construction/ Environmental/ Transportation Engineering etc.).
- Electrical Engineering (including Electrical & Electronics Engineering but excluding Electrical & Communication/ Power Engineering/ Telecommunication Engineering etc.).
- Mechanical Engineering (excluding Automation/ Bio-medical Engineering/ Automobile/ Industrial/ Manufacturing/ Power/ Production Engineering/ Mining Engineering & Technology, Mining & Machinery/Marine Engineering/ Textile Engineering/ Robotics/ Welding etc.).
d) Candidates pursuing/completed their graduation (BE/B.Tech) in combined/ integrated disciplines/ inter-disciplinary subjects like Mechatronics/ Robotics etc will not be eligible.
e) Above mentioned inclusions/exclusions in the engineering streams are indicative and not descriptive. The Corporation reserves the right to take a final decision on considering/not considering a program beyond the above-mentioned engineering disciplines.
f) Minimum Marks in Qualifying Examination:- Candidates should have secured following minimum marks in qualifying degree examination.
- Category Minimum % Marks General/ OBC(NCL)/ EWS category candidates:- 65%.
- SC/ ST/ PwBD category candidates:- 55%
Candidates pursuing Integrated course/ Dual Course/ PG Courses
- Candidates pursuing/ completed M.Tech in any discipline, other than those mentioned above, for being eligible, must have completed BE/ B.Tech in one of the relevant mentioned disciplines and must have appeared in GATE-2020 examination in the respective discipline of their BE/ B.Tech,
Example: If a candidate has completed (or is pursuing) his/her M.Tech in Power Systems and if he/she has done his/her BE/ B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (which is one of the core disciplines advertised by Indian Oil), he/she will be eligible to apply, only if he/she has a appeared in GATE – 2020 in Electrical Engineering discipline and has qualified in GATE 2020 examination.
- Integrated ME/ M.Tech candidates will be eligible, only if they have already completed (or are completing) the course requirement for the award of BE/ B.Tech in one of the disciplines advertised above and have completed (or are completing ME/ M.Tech by August 2020). At the end of the program, if selected in Indian Oil, such candidates must have both BE/ B.Tech and ME/ M.Tech degree.
- If a candidate pursues integrated ME/ M.Tech Programs and is awarded two separate degrees i.e. BE/ B.Tech and ME/ M.Tech, then the % of marks/ CGPA obtained by the candidates in BE/ BTech will be considered to determine the eligibility of the candidate.
- If a single degree i.e. ME/ M.Tech is awarded to the candidate at the end of integrated ME/ M.Tech program, then the consolidated marks obtained by the candidate at the end of integrated ME/ M. Tech program will be reckoned for deciding the eligibility
Selection Procedure For IOCL Graduate Engineer Recruitment 2020
- Candidates have to essentially qualify in GATE 2020 in the relevant discipline to be eligible for shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI) & Group Discussion (GD)/ Group Task (GT).
- Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on marks obtained by them in GATE 2020 in respective disciplines for further selection process consisting of PI and GD/ GT.
- Short-listing will be based on the merit of the candidates from different categories in line with the reservation policy of the Government of India. Hence, merely qualifying in the GATE-2020 examination does not guarantee to shortlist for GD/GT and Personal Interview.
How To Apply For IOCL Graduate Engineer Recruitment 2020
a) Candidates should go through all the necessary information available on the website www.iocl.com (Indian Oil for You > IndianOil for Careers > Latest Job Openings) before filling the application form online.
b) Candidate must have a valid email id and mobile number, both active for a minimum of one year from the date of registration. Communications to the candidate will be sent on this email-id/mobile no.
c) Candidate must read the advertisement carefully and check their eligibility before proceeding to apply.
d) The relevant link to apply ONLINE is available on the Indian Oil’s website www.iocl.com Candidates should click on the ONLINE application link, read the instructions carefully and fill-in the ONLINE application form giving accurate information including the GATE 2020 registration number.
e) Prior to applying ONLINE, a candidate should have the following inputs ready for uploading/filling on the ONLINE portal:
- GATE 2020 registration number and GATE 2020 Marks Card
- Scanned copy of Color Passport Size Photograph which was used to register for GATE 2020. If the candidate is called for PI, then the identity of the candidate shall be established with GATE-2020 Admit and Marks Cards.
- Scanned copy of Signature
- Aadhar Card
- Additionally, the candidates should have the relevant documents like percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination, caste/ sub-caste certificate, date of issue, name of issuing authority, state of origin, etc. readily available with them before they commence the ONLINE application process. This information will be required at the time of filling-in the ONLINE application.
f) Candidates are advised to fill their GATE-2020 Registration number, category (Gen/ EWS/ OBC(NCL)/ SC/ ST/ PwBD), qualification details, etc. in the Online application form very carefully. Candidates will not be allowed to change their particulars after submitting of the On-line application and no request in this regard will be entertained subsequently.
g) Candidates must ensure that they fill in the correct GATE 2020 Registration Number in the ONLINE application form. Candidate’s Name, Father’s Name, Discipline, and Marks (out of 100) will be auto-filled based upon his/her GATE2020 registration number.
h) Candidates must note that GATE-2020 marks and relevant personal details of the candidates are autos – retrieved from the database provided by the GATE authorities through software and therefore any wrong entry in GATE – 2020 registration no. by the candidate may result in a mismatch, thus resulting in non-retrieval of candidate details successfully. Hence due care needs to be taken by a candidate while entering the GATE – 2020 registration number in the on-line application form.
i) It may be noted that IOCL does not carry out any manual intervention to correct any mistake committed by a candidate in filling-in the GATE registration number while applying on-line in Indian Oil.
j) Wherever final marks have been awarded as a letter grade (CGPA/ GPI/ SGPA etc), a candidate shall calculate the equivalent percentage of marks as per conversion formula adopted by respective institute/ university. Such candidates would be required to submit the conversion certificate to this effect at the time of Personal Interview if shortlisted.
k) After filling up the ONLINE application form in all respect, and being satisfied that all the entries are correct, the candidate should submit the online application by clicking the submit button. If the online application is submitted successfully, the system will generate a unique application ID along with the completed application form.
l) Candidate should take a print out of the ONLINE application and keep it with him/ her safely for future reference. Candidates need not send this printout to any office of IndianOil.
m) Candidates presently employed in Government Departments/ PSUs/ Autonomous Bodies will need to submit NOC from a competent authority of their current employer at the time of the interview.
n) Candidature of the candidates is not found meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria shall be rejected at any stage of the selection process.
o) Candidature of the candidate submitting false/ incorrect information shall be rejected at any stage of the selection process.
