IIT Ropar Recruitment 2019 - Indian Institute of Technology Ropar has released Job Notification for the Posts of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) through Walk-in-Interview to work in the SERB (Science and Engineering Research Board) project entitled "Nature-inspired surface micro and nanostructures for enhanced thin-film evaporation cooling".
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to engage in a wide range of activities such as surface micro and nanofabrication, development of experimental setups, conducting experiments and theoretical/ numerical analysis. It will also be possible for the selected candidate to apply for the Ph.D. Program as per existing institute rules.

Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification:- Masters degree in Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering/ Physics from a recognized institute and with exceptionally good academic record with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 on a 10.0 point scale (or 70% marks) + good GATE/NET score.
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Physics from a recognized institute and with exceptionally good academic record with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 on a 10.0 point scale (or 70% marks) + good GATE/NET score. - Period:- 3 years or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier. However, after every year, the progress of the candidate will be reviewed for further extension.
- Desirable Qualities:- The candidate should have extensive knowledge of fundamentals of Thermodynamics, Heat & Mass Transfer and Fluid Mechanics. Candidate with prior exposure to surface micro and nanofabrication, experimental heat transfer and microfluidics will be given preference. The candidate should have good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to do multi-task, effectively.
