HPPSC has announced recruitment notification for the post of Planning Officer, eligible candidates can submit their application before 04-12-2020.
Required Qualification
- Essential Qualification:-
B.Tech Degree in Urban/ City/ Town/ Regional Planning from a recognized University or an Institute duly recognized by the Institute of Town Planners, India.
OR
Bachelor of Planning or Bachelor of Technology in Planning or Bachelor of Architecture from a recognized University or an Institute duly recognized by the Institute of Town Planners, India:
Provided that preference will be given to the candidates possessing at least 3 years experience in Urban/ City/ Town/ Regional Planning’s work under any authority constituted under Town & Country Planning Laws or in the Town & Country PlanningDepartmentafteracquiring the above qualification:
Provided further that the incumbents possessing higher qualification in the field of Town Planning i.e. Master of Planning/ M.Tech/ Post Graduate Degree in Urban Planning or City Planning or Town Planning or Regional Planning or Housing Planning or Country Planning or Rural Planning or InfrastructurePlanning or Transport Planning or Rural & Urban Planning or Environmental Planning from a recognized University or an Institute duly recognized by theInstitute of Town Planner, India shall also be eligible for recruitment to the post of Planning Officer.
- Desirable Qualification:- Knowledge of customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions.

- Desirous/ eligible candidates must have to apply online through the official website of the Commission http://www.hppsc.hp.gov.in/hppsc. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and will be rejected straightway.
- The candidates should exercise due care while entering their Mobile Numbers and e-mail IDs in the Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) for immediate intimation with regard to their application.
- The desirous & eligible candidate may visit the official website of the Commission (http://www.hppsc.hp.gov.in/hppsc) and click on the link “Apply Online” on the Home Page. The candidate will register and create his/ her profile on ‘One Time Registration’ and after logging into his/ her account in OTR. the list of advertisements will be displayed to the candidate on the dashboard. The candidate will apply for a particular post through the portal. The application of the candidate will be submitted only after uploading of requisite documents as per the advertisement. Before submission of application, the candidate will be shown the preview of uploaded documents and he/ shall give an undertaking/ declaration that:-
- “It is certified that I have checked the preview of all the requisite uploaded documents and I am satisfied that documents are legible, readable, and true. That I shall not object to rejection of my candidature based on the sole reason of uploaded documents being non-readable/ poor quality of scanning."
- No further opportunity will be given to the candidate for submission of any document after the submission of the online recruitment application. Online Recruitment Application once submitted shall not be allowed any change.
- No representation/ correspondence will be entertained against the final rejection of candidature.

Selection Procedure
Based on the eligible criteria, the applicant will be called for the Screening/ Preliminary Examination. Those candidates, who successfully qualify for the Examination will be invited for the Personality Test.
There will be an objective type Computer Based Test/ ScreeningTest of one paper consisting of 100 questions for two hours duration:-
80 questions of multiple choice of B.Tech in Planning and 10 Questions consisting of General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh and 10 Questions consisting of National and International affairs.
