GIC is looking for Young, Energetic Graduates / Post Graduates with Brilliant Academic record in the disciplines mentioned below to fill in the positions of 25 Officers in the cadre of Assistant Manager (Scale-I) to be based in its offices in India and abroad (primarily to be posted in Head Office, Mumbai) and will be liable to be posted anywhere in India as well as abroad as per the requirement of the Corporation.

Candidate should have been born not earlier than 09.05.1988 and not later than 08.05.1997 both days inclusive.

Emoluments and Benefits:
Basic Pay Rs.32,795/- per month in the scale of Rs.32795 -1610(14) – 55335 -1745(4) - 62315 and other admissible allowances like DA, HRA, CCA, etc. The total emoluments will be about Rs.53400/-p.m. plus other benefits which are New Pension Scheme and Newspaper /Internet Allowance Leave Travel Subsidy, Medical Benefits, Personal Accident cover, housing and vehicle loans with subsidized interests, and interest-free advances for the festival, natural calamities and any other benefits as per rules and on confirmation of service in the Corporation.
Qualification:
1. General Stream: Candidate must possess the minimum qualification of a Graduate/ Post Graduate in any discipline with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examinations for General & OBC candidates and at least 55% marks for SC/ST candidates.
2. Hindi: Post Graduate in Hindi with English as one of the subjects in Graduation
OR
Post Graduate in English with Hindi as one of the subjects in Graduation with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination for General & OBC candidates and at least 55% marks for SC/ST candidates.
Selection Procedure:
The selection for the above post shall be on the basis of shortlisting of the candidates based on Online Test and performance in Group Discussion and interview. The total marks for Written Test, Group Discussion and Interview will be 200.
The competitive online examination will be held tentatively in the month of June/July 2018. The candidate may choose any one of the following centres, which must be indicated in the Application Format clearly. Corporation also reserves the right to hold the written examination at some and not all the examination centres listed below depending upon the number of candidates and other relevant factors.

Mode of Selection:
1. The candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in CBT (Computer Based Test). A combined merit list will be prepared and shortlisted candidates will be called for documents/ certificate verification as per advertised post and norms decided for a different category.
2. If nos. of the applicant will be very large (i.e. more than 15000) preliminary test may be conducted to shortlist candidates for the main examination. The main examination will be conducted for recruitment.
3. If the preliminary test is conducted, the candidate in the ratio of 1:20 of the advertised vacancy will be shortlisted for the main examination. The merit list of the candidate for selection to the post of Assistant will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in CBT main exams.
4. Both PT and Mains Examination will be of objective type (Multiple choices) computer-based test.
5. Short-listing of candidates will be done on the basis of Computer Based Test (CBT).
List of Documents to be produced at the time of interview (as applicable):
The following documents in original and self-attested photocopies in support of the candidate’s eligibility and identity are to be invariably submitted at the time of interview failing which the candidate may not be permitted to appear
for the interview. Non-submission of requisite documents by the candidate at the time of interview will debar his candidature from further participation in the recruitment process.
i)Printout of the valid Interview Call Letter
ii) Valid system generated a printout of the online application form registered.
iii) Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Municipal Authorities or SSLC/ Std. X Certificate with DOB)
iv) Photo Identify Proof as indicated in *IDENTITY VERIFICATION (Point 10) of the advertisement
v) Mark-sheets & certificates for Std X, XII, MBBS, MD/MS Degree or equivalent qualification and valid registration Certificate from Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council, etc. Proper document from Board / University for having declared the result on or before 01.01.2018 has to be submitted.
vi) Where CGPA / OGPA are awarded, the candidate will have to produce a certificate issued by the appropriate authority inter alia stating the norms of the University regarding the conversion of grade into percentage and the percentage of marks scored by the candidate in terms of norms
