North Eastern Railway has announced recruitment notification for the post of Cultural Quota, eligible candidates can submit their application before 15-10-2018.
Essential Qualifications
a) Essential Educational Qualification:- For Technician-III, Matriculation or its equivalent with ITI in relevant trade (Recognised by SCVT/ NCVT) and for other posts, 12th or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate. The compulsion of 50% marks in aggregate will not be insisted upon in case of SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen candidates and candidates possessing qualification higher than 12th or its equivalent.
b) Essential Cultural Qualifications:- Candidate should possess Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in the relevant field of Music/ Dance as the case may be from a Government recognized Institute.

- The link for online application is available at North Eastern Railway's website www.ner.indianrailways.gov.in. Candidate should carefully read all the instructions given in the Employment Notice before filling the online application form.
- The online application form should be filled following the step-by-step procedure is given on the webpage. All the required fields must be filled up carefully. candidates, while filling the online application form must upload his/ her scanned recent photograph and signature.
Examination Fee
1. For candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen/ PWD Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes:- Rs.250/-
Refund of Rs.250/- will be made to the candidates who actually appear in the Written Examination.
2. All other candidates:- Rs.500/-
Refund of Rs.400/- will be made to the candidates who actually appear in the Written Examination.
3. The requisite examination fee should be deposited online as provided on the webpage of the online application form. After depositing the examination fee, the candidates should log in again and take a printout of the application form for his/ her reference.
Recruitment Process
The candidates found prima facie eligible for recruitment will be assessed on the following basis:-
(A) Written Test (Note:- The written test will consist of 50 objective type questions) - 50 marks.
(B) Assessment of talent in the relevant field:-(i) On the basis of Practical Demonstration - 35 marks,
(ii) On the basis of Testimonials/ Prizes etc. 15 marks (Total 100 marks).
